Eat Lunch & Be Happy

Lunch is an important time to network, enjoy a sunny day, and fuel up for the next six hours. While many restaurants are dedicated to breakfast, nearly every local place has some kind of lunch. If you're lucky they have lunch specials. On a nice day in Old Town, the restaurants are packed with professionals, students, and locals alike.

Here are four of my favorite local joints for lunch.

Krazy Karl's Pizza is one of those stand out pizza places. The first time you try cream cheese as a pizza topping, you will understand the infatuation. With the somewhat recent addition of a bierhouse, Krazy Karl's has a nice sit-down atmosphere for kids and adults. Weekly pizza specials will let you try all of the premium pizzas without it stinging your wallet. You can never have enough pizza.

Pickle Barrel takes sandwiches to a whole new level. With a huge selection of amazing sandwiches, you can always find something delicious here. Even your basic PB&J is covered and made even tastier here. If you're in the mood for a beer, the bar is just down the stairs, but don't forget your sandwich because that would be a bad day.

Spoons is a well known staple for many students and adults in Fort Collins. Several locations, including two on the CSU campus alone, put spoons into everyone's hands to enjoy. Homemade soups, including the infamous 90 Schilling Green Chili Cheddar, have earned their place in our hearts on cold and warm days alike. Pair your meal with salad or a sandwich and you will walk away full and happy.

Dam Good Tacos is damn good. It's not your traditional take on a taco, but it's certainly a delicious take on cuisine. With a laid-back atmosphere and even a taco cart appearing in Old Town on occasion, Dam Good Tacos has an ever-changing menu of unique tacos. These street-style tacos may be small, but the flavors will blow you away. don't forget to
try the Spicy Chocolate Horchata, it's not to be missed.
